Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Rajkot, Gujarat

Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹35,000 per month (Based on experience and interview performance)
Experience: 3–5 Years
Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (B. Com/M. Com preferred). CA Inter or MBA (Finance) will be an added advantage.
Preferred Industry: E-commerce, Trading, Manufacturing, FMCG, Retail, Agriculture, Distribution, or similar industries.
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and result-driven Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure statutory compliance and deliver accurate financial reporting.
The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge and leadership skills to manage financial operations efficiently while coordinating with internal departments, auditors, banks, and external stakeholders.
Key Objectives
Ensure accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting.
Maintain 100% compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Improve accounting processes.
Support Management with timely MIS reports and financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Operations
Manage daily accounting activities including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Cash & Bank transactions.
Ensure accurate bookkeeping and timely recording of all financial transactions.
Observe the verification of invoices, purchase bills, vouchers, debit notes, credit notes, and payment documentation.
Perform periodic bank reconciliations and monitor banking transactions.
Maintain complete and organised accounting records and supporting documents.
2. Financial Reporting & MIS
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Generate accurate MIS reports, financial dashboards, and management reports.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
Conduct variance analysis and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
Provide financial analysis to support Management's strategic decisions.
3. Statutory Compliance
Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and all other applicable statutory requirements.
Prepare and maintain statutory records and compliance documentation.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during statutory, tax, and internal audits.
Ensure adherence to company financial policies and government regulations.
4. Payroll & Employee Finance Support
Verify payroll data before salary processing.
Ensure accurate statutory deductions including PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, loans, advances, and reimbursements.
Coordinate with the HR department for payroll reconciliation and employee financial records.
Resolve payroll and finance-related employee queries.
5. Vendor & Receivable Management
Review vendor ledgers and reconciliation statements.
Ensure timely processing of vendor payments.
Monitor customer receivables and outstanding collections.
Maintain healthy relationships with vendors, banks, auditors, and financial institutions.
Monitor credit terms and optimise payment cycles.
6. Team Leadership & Coordination
Supervise, guide, and support the Accounts team in day-to-day financial operations.
Allocate responsibilities and review accounting work for accuracy and timely completion.
Train team members on accounting procedures, statutory compliance, and company policies.
Coordinate effectively with HR, Admin, Sales, Dispatch, Warehouse, Procurement, and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles and Financial Reporting.
Hands-on experience with Tally Prime/ERP.
Strong knowledge of GST Portal, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, and other statutory compliances.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, IF Functions, MIS Reporting, Data Analysis).
Experience in budgeting, financial planning, cash flow management, and cost analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
