Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Purpose of the role:
Lead implementation of EHS systems, statutory compliance and safety management practices during Greenfield project execution and post-SOP operations to create and sustain a safe workplace, achieve regulatory compliance and support business continuity.
Roles and responsibilities:
Lead development and implementation of EHS systems, safety procedures and risk management frameworks during Greenfield project execution.
Drive safety planning for civil construction, utility installation, equipment erection, commissioning and contractor activities across the project site.
Conduct risk assessments, HIRA, HAZOP studies and safety audits for project and operational activities.
Ensure compliance with Factory Act, State Safety Regulations, Environment Regulations and applicable statutory requirements.
Coordinate with DISH, MPCB, Fire Department and other regulatory authorities for statutory approvals, inspections and compliance requirements.
Establish contractor safety management systems and ensure adherence to safety standards across all project activities.
Drive safety awareness programs, employee training, emergency response preparedness and behavioral safety initiatives.
Monitor safety KPIs, incident reports, near misses, unsafe conditions and corrective action closure.
Lead internal and external audits and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Support facility expansion, utility enhancement and future business growth projects from an EHS perspective.
Experience
10-15 Years of work experience
- Experience in Industrial Safety, EHS Management or Manufacturing Environment.
- Greenfield Project experience shall be preferred and will be an added advantage.
Industry Preferred
Automotive OEM, Auto Component Manufacturing, Industrial Manufacturing, Infrastructure & EPC Projects
Qualifications
B.E. - Mechanical / Chemical / Environmental Engineering
AND
Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS)
