Job Summary
Spice Empress Restaurant is seeking a skilled and passionate Chinese Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing authentic Indo-Chinese and Chinese cuisine while maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, hygiene, and consistency. The chef should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen and contribute to creating an outstanding dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide variety of Indo-Chinese and Chinese dishes, including soups, starters, noodles, fried rice, gravies, and specialty items.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Develop and introduce new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and kitchen hygiene.
- Ensure all food is prepared and served according to established recipes and standards.
- Monitor stock levels and prepare daily requisitions for ingredients.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain proper inventory control.
- Supervise and guide kitchen assistants and commis chefs.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of food products (FIFO).
- Maintain all kitchen equipment in clean and working condition.
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Indo-Chinese and Chinese cuisine.
- Expertise in preparing soups, appetizers, noodles, fried rice, gravies, wok dishes, and signature Chinese specialties.
- Excellent knife skills and wok cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work under pressure during peak service hours.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Creativity in menu planning and food presentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Chinese Chef in a hotel, resort, or restaurant.
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management is preferred.
- Experience in high-volume restaurant operations is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
