Position: Staff Canteen Cook

Reports To: Executive Chef / Admin Manager
Job Summary
The Staff Canteen Cook is responsible for preparing and serving hygienic, nutritious, and timely meals for employees while maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and proper stock utilization in the staff canteen.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner for staff as per the approved menu.
- Ensure food is cooked on time and served according to the staff meal schedule.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, hygiene, and presentation.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene practices at all times.
- Monitor the quality and freshness of all raw materials before use.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure proper utilization of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, cooking equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
- Coordinate with the Store/Purchase Department for daily ingredient requirements.
- Maintain proper stock of groceries and report shortages in advance.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is handled safely and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Assist during special staff meals or company events whenever required.
- Follow all company policies and safety regulations.
Eligibility
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Cook in a staff canteen, hotel, restaurant, or industrial kitchen.
- Knowledge of South Indian cooking.
- Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
- Ability to prepare meals for large groups of employees.
- Good time management and teamwork skills.
Working Hours
As per company schedule and operational requirements, including weekends and holidays if required.
