About the Role
Ambix Healthcare LLP is looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to oversee procurement operations, vendor management, and supply chain coordination. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and other operational requirements while maintaining quality standards, cost efficiency, and uninterrupted production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors for raw materials, packaging materials, finished products, and other procurement requirements.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Conduct price negotiations, rate contracts, and annual procurement planning to achieve cost savings.
- Coordinate with Production, PPIC, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Accounts departments for material planning and procurement requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and track order fulfillment timelines.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and pricing to support strategic purchasing decisions.
- Resolve supplier-related issues regarding quality, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and purchase reports.
- Lead and mentor the purchase team to improve procurement efficiency and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Science, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Additional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical/nutraceutical raw materials and packaging materials.
- Experience in contract manufacturing and third-party procurement.
- Strong analytical and cost-control abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and procurement software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Experience
- 2-5years of experience in Purchase/Procurement within the Pharmaceutical, or Healthcare industry.
- Experience handling domestic and international sourcing.
- Familiarity with GMP, regulatory compliance, and quality standards applicable to the healthcare sector.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
