Production Intern
About Painting Pictures
At Painting Pictures, we are passionate about visual storytelling and bringing creative visions to life. We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and eager-to-learn Production Intern to join our team. In this role, you will get hands-on experience across the entire production pipeline—from pre-production planning and on-set coordination to post-production asset management.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to learn the nuts and bolts of how a successful production comes together, we want to hear from you!
What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
As a Production Intern, you will be the backbone of our production workflow, assisting our team with both administrative and hands-on tasks:
- Production Administration: Organize production budgets, vendor invoices, and expense reports.
- Pre-Production Logistics: Coordinate pre-shoot logistics, including locations, equipment rentals, crew scheduling, and permits.
- Client Management: Manage client communication and consolidate feedback via Frame.io, email, and phone calls.
- Shoot Preparation: Prepare comprehensive shot lists, production schedules, and equipment checklists.
- On-Set Support: Assist with on-set coordination, equipment setup and breakdown, and continuity tracking.
- Data Management: Organize and securely back up raw footage; prepare media and timelines for editors.
- Post-Production Support: Assist with post-production asset management and deliverable tracking.
- Social Media: Help with social content organization and asset preparation.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project files and standard documentation.
- Communication: Communicate proactively with the team regarding any potential issues or timeline changes.
What We Are Looking For
Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: Must be highly capable in Excel for budget tracking, invoicing, and data organization.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for detail, especially when it comes to schedules, continuity, and file management.
A Major Plus:
- On-set experience: Previous experience working on a film, commercial, or photo set is highly preferred!
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with tools like Frame.io and basic knowledge of post-production workflows.
Why Join Us?
- Real-World Experience: This isn't a "getting coffee" internship. You will be actively involved in real projects from start to finish.
- Networking: Work alongside experienced industry professionals, crew members, and clients.
- Skill Building: Develop a robust portfolio of logistical and production management skills.
To Apply: Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter (or a short note) explaining your experience with Excel and why you are interested in the production industry. Include any relevant on-set experience if applicable!
