Job Title: Housekeeping Room Attendant
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive Housekeeper
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to hotel standards.
- Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and toiletries.
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Clean bathrooms, fixtures, mirrors, and amenities.
- Replenish room supplies such as water, tea/coffee kits, tissues, and toiletries.
- Check rooms for maintenance issues and report them promptly.
- Ensure lost-and-found items are handled according to hotel procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness in corridors, pantries, and service areas.
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Respond politely to guest requests and coordinate with other departments when needed.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
- Maintain room status updates and complete assigned work within required timelines.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and housekeeping standards.
- Attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, and lift items for extended periods.
- Basic communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Time-management and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience in hotels is an advantage but often not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and safety practices.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Physically demanding work involving walking, lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
