Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager – Outbound MICE to lead and manage international MICE operations, corporate sales, client servicing, and business development. The candidate should possess strong expertise in handling outbound corporate groups, incentive travel, conferences, exhibitions, and international events while ensuring excellent customer experience and profitability.
The ideal candidate must have strong destination knowledge, vendor management skills, team leadership abilities, and a proven track record in outbound MICE business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end outbound MICE operations for corporate clients.
- Develop and execute business strategies to increase outbound MICE sales and revenue.
- Handle corporate client acquisition, relationship management, and account servicing.
- Design customized itineraries, costing, and proposals for international MICE groups.
- Coordinate with international DMCs, hotels, airlines, visa agencies, and event vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and vendor agreements to maximize profitability.
- Ensure seamless execution of conferences, incentive trips, exhibitions, and corporate events.
- Lead, train, and motivate sales and operations teams to achieve business targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new destination opportunities.
- Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Handle escalations, crisis management, and on-ground support when required.
- Prepare MIS reports, sales forecasts, and performance reviews for management.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of international destinations and outbound MICE operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Expertise in corporate sales, client handling, and vendor management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and large group movements simultaneously.
- Strong costing, budgeting, and itinerary planning skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and travel management systems.
- Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or related field.
- 8–11 years of experience in Outbound MICE Sales & Operations.
- Prior experience in handling corporate MICE groups and international events is mandatory.
- Existing corporate client databases and industry connections will be an added advantage.
