Role Overview
We’re looking for an enthusiastic intern who can work across both functional and technical sides of ERPNext. You’ll spend most of your time on configuration, customer support, and user training — but you’ll also assist our senior developer with small coding tasks, script tweaks, and customization work. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys both business problem-solving and writing code, and wants to build a strong foundation in ERP consulting and the Frappe framework.
Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional & Support (Primary)
- Configure ERPNext modules — Sales, Purchase, Stock, Accounts, HR — using custom fields, workflows, print formats, dashboards, and reports.
- Handle Level-1 customer support: respond to user queries, troubleshoot common issues, and escalate complex problems to the senior developer.
- Assist with client onboarding — data import, master setup, user role configuration, and initial training.
- Conduct user training (online and on-site) and create user guides, SOPs, and short video tutorials.
- Test customizations before client release; log bugs and feedback systematically.
- Maintain ticket logs and follow up with clients on resolution.
- Help draft requirement documents and functional specifications based on client discussions.
Technical (Assisting Senior Developer)
- Write and modify simple Python scripts within the Frappe framework (server scripts, client scripts).
- Build and edit print formats using Jinja and HTML/CSS.
- Create custom reports (Query Reports and basic Script Reports).
- Help with small DocType customizations, custom fields, and form scripts.
- Assist with data migration scripts and basic API calls.
- Support the senior developer in code testing, deployment to staging, and documentation.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree (or final year) in B.Tech (CS/IT), BCA, MCA, or B.Sc IT. Commerce/Management graduates with strong coding interest will also be considered.
- Basic coding skills are a must — Python (preferred), JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and basic SQL. You don’t need to be an expert, but you should be able to read code, write small functions, and debug with guidance.
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi (written and spoken).
- Strong interest in business processes, ERP systems, and customer-facing work.
- Comfort with computers, spreadsheets, and willingness to learn new tools quickly.
- Basic understanding of accounting, inventory, or sales/purchase processes is a plus.
Bonus Skills
- Any prior exposure to ERPNext, Frappe, Tally, Zoho, Odoo, or similar systems.
- Completed Frappe School courses (free, online).
- GitHub profile with small Python or web projects.
- Familiarity with Linux command line and Git.
What You’ll Gain
- Real-world experience on live ERPNext implementations across diverse industries.
- Direct mentorship from an experienced ERPNext developer — both functional and technical guidance.
- Exposure to the complete ERP lifecycle: requirement gathering, configuration, customization, training, and support.
- Hands-on experience with the Frappe framework, one of the fastest-growing open-source ERP platforms globally.
- Internship certificate and a strong recommendation on completion.
- Strong potential for full-time conversion as ERPNext Associate Consultant / Junior Developer at ₹20,000–25,000/month based on performance.
Selection Process
1. Resume screening
2. Short virtual interview (30 minutes — functional and technical mix)
3. Small practical task (paid, 1–2 days) — a mix of one configuration task and one small coding task
4. Final discussion and offer
