Qualification:
- Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
- NDT Level II certification will be an added advantage
- Experience in SAW pipe manufacturing and quality inspection is required
- Good understanding of SAW welding process, welding parameters
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare hydro test reports and dimensional inspection reports for finished pipes
- Check and verify daily production and inspection reports, including heat numbers, dimensions, and customer specifications
- Coordinate with TPIA for inspection activities and ensure inspections are completed on time
- Ensure hydro testing, painting, marking, and stenciling activities are carried out as per production schedule
- Handle and coordinate all quality inspection activities during production and final stage
- Ensure finished pipes are inspected and stamped by TPIA as per requirement
- Prepare and share daily and weekly production/inspection status reports through email
- Prepare NCR (Non-Conformance Report) for quality issues or deviations
- Maintain monthly repair and rework data and submit status reports
- Prepare WTC documents and quality checklists under guidance of QC Head/In-charge
- Maintain records and documents required for ISO/API audits
- Check calibration validity of measuring and inspection instruments
- Monitor SAW welding quality, weld seam condition, welding parameters, and NDT inspection results
- Ensure welding activities are performed as per approved WPS/PQR and applicable API/ASME standards
