Salary: USD 2,200 – USD 3,000 Monthly Base Salary + Performance Incentives

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead sales and marketing operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, strengthening customer relationships, and leading high-performing sales and marketing teams.
The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, excellent leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering sustainable business growth. Fluency in French is mandatory, as the role requires frequent interaction with customers, distributors, and stakeholders across Francophone markets.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, market segments, and distribution channels.
- Drive sales growth through effective territory management and market penetration initiatives.
- Establish sales forecasts, budgets, and performance targets.
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Explore and develop new markets and customer acquisition opportunities.
- Strengthen relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and key accounts.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and partnership opportunities.
- Support market entry and expansion strategies within the DRC and neighboring markets where applicable.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop sales and marketing teams.
- Set clear objectives and monitor team performance against KPIs.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and results.
Marketing & Brand Development
- Collaborate with marketing teams to execute brand-building initiatives.
- Support product launches, promotional campaigns, and customer engagement activities.
- Ensure strong brand visibility and market presence.
- Monitor campaign effectiveness and return on investment.
Market Intelligence & Analysis
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Monitor pricing, consumer behavior, and competitive activities.
Financial & Operational Management
- Manage sales budgets and ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Monitor profitability and ROI of sales and marketing activities.
- Ensure effective inventory planning and sales forecasting.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and commercial standards.
RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing.
- At least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven experience within FMCG, Beverage, Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, market expansion, and team leadership.
- Experience working in African markets, particularly Francophone regions, is highly desirable.
Language Requirement
- Fluency in French (spoken and written) is mandatory.
- English proficiency is an added advantage.
