Position: Medical Store Executive

Job Summary
The Medical Store Keeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining medicines, surgical items, medical consumables, and other healthcare supplies. The role ensures accurate inventory management, timely availability of stock, compliance with hospital policies, and proper documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Receive medicines and medical supplies as per purchase orders.
- Verify quantity, batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date, and quality of received items.
- Maintain accurate stock records in the inventory management system.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and inform the supervisor for replenishment.
- Conduct daily, monthly, and annual physical stock verification.
Storage & Handling
- Store medicines and consumables according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain proper temperature and storage conditions.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) principles.
- Ensure proper labeling and organization of stock.
Issue of Materials
- Issue medicines and consumables to hospital departments against authorized requisitions.
- Ensure timely supply to wards, ICU, OT, Emergency, and other departments.
- Maintain proper issue records and obtain acknowledgements.
Documentation
- Maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), stock registers, issue registers, and return records.
- Record damaged, expired, and near-expiry items separately.
- Assist in preparing inventory and consumption reports.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and statutory regulations.
- Report discrepancies, shortages, damages, or expired stock immediately.
- Support NABH standards related to inventory and store management.
Coordination
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department for stock replenishment.
- Work closely with the Pharmacy, Nursing, and Clinical departments to ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Store Management, Commerce, or a related field.
- Computer knowledge with proficiency in MS Office and hospital inventory software.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital consumables is preferred.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience as a Store Keeper in a hospital, pharmacy, or healthcare organization.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications may also be considered.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of inventory management and stock control.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Stock accuracy maintained above 98%.
- Zero stock-out of critical medicines and consumables.
- Timely issue of materials to departments.
- Proper maintenance of inventory records.
- Minimal wastage due to expiry or damage.
- Compliance with NABH and hospital inventory standards.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per hospital requirements.
- Work in the hospital medical store and central inventory area.
General Responsibilities
- Follow hospital rules, policies, and SOPs.
- Maintain confidentiality of hospital information.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality protocols.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the reporting manager.
Pay: ₹13,061.46 - ₹18,144.88 per month
