Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Structural Accountant to manage financial activities related to structural and civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project accounting, cost tracking, billing, vendor payments, reconciliation, budgeting, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with statutory and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain project-wise accounts for structural and civil construction projects.
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Prepare and process vendor bills, subcontractor invoices, and payment vouchers.
- Monitor project costs and compare actual expenses against budgets.
- Coordinate with the project, procurement, and store departments for material and expense verification.
- Prepare client invoices and follow up on payment collections.
- Reconcile bank accounts, vendor ledgers, and customer accounts.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, cash flow statements, and project profitability reports.
- Calculate GST, TDS, and other statutory deductions and ensure timely compliance.
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Support internal and external audits by providing financial documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and government regulations.
- Coordinate with the finance team, auditors, and Chartered Accountant for statutory filings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), M.Com, MBA (Finance), or equivalent.
- 3–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and accounting standards.
- Experience with accounting software such as Tally Prime, Busy, SAP, or ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial reporting).
