Job Summary:
The Senior OT Executive is responsible for the overall management and smooth functioning of the Operation Theatre, ensuring quality patient care, infection control, equipment management, staff supervision, and compliance with hospital policies and NABH standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operation Theatre Management
- Ensure smooth functioning of all OT activities and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain OT schedules in coordination with consultants and departments.
- Ensure availability of OT supplies, instruments, implants, and consumables.
2. Patient Care & Safety
- Verify patient identification, consent forms, and pre-operative checklists.
- Ensure patient safety protocols are followed before, during, and after surgery.
- Assist in emergency and critical surgical procedures.
3. Staff Supervision
- Supervise OT technicians, nurses, and support staff.
- Allocate duties and monitor staff performance.
- Provide training and orientation to newly joined OT staff.
4. Infection Control
- Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control practices.
- Monitor sterilization processes and coordination with CSSD.
- Maintain aseptic techniques within all OT areas.
5. Equipment Management
- Ensure proper functioning and preventive maintenance of OT equipment.
- Coordinate with the biomedical department for repair and servicing.
- Maintain records of equipment maintenance and calibration.
6. Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels of surgical items and consumables.
- Maintain inventory records and prevent stock shortages.
- Coordinate with stores and purchase departments for timely procurement.
7. Documentation & Records
- Maintain OT registers, surgery records, and patient documentation.
- Ensure completion of surgical safety checklists.
- Prepare daily and monthly OT reports.
8. Quality & NABH Compliance
- Implement hospital policies, SOPs, and NABH standards.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and internal audits.
- Report incidents, near misses, and adverse events.
9. Emergency Preparedness
- Ensure readiness of emergency equipment and crash carts.
- Participate in disaster management drills and emergency response activities.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Operation Theatre management.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and infection control practices.
Skills Required:

- Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.

Pay: ₹20,100.61 - ₹25,266.40 per month
