Molecular Laboratory Technologist | Location : Bangalore India

Role Overview
As a Molecular Laboratory Technologist, you will perform high-complexity molecular diagnostic testing, support laboratory operations, ensure compliance with quality standards, and contribute to the continuous growth of our molecular diagnostics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Perform multiplex real-time PCR, nucleic acid extraction, and molecular diagnostic testing.
✔ Operate and maintain automated laboratory instruments.
✔ Analyze and report results with accuracy through the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
✔ Maintain quality control, documentation, and instrument maintenance records.
✔ Support assay validation, workflow optimization, and laboratory quality initiatives.
✔ Ensure compliance with laboratory SOPs, biosafety practices, and regulatory standards.
✔ Collaborate with the laboratory team to deliver timely and reliable patient results.
Requirements
✔ 2+ years of hands-on experience in Molecular Diagnostics.
✔ Strong understanding of molecular biology principles and PCR workflows.
✔ Experience working in a regulated clinical laboratory environment.
✔ Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
Nice to Have
⭐ Hands-on experience with KingFisher Flex, Bio-Rad CFX, or similar molecular diagnostic platforms.
⭐ Experience with multiplex PCR assays and infectious disease testing.
⭐ Knowledge of CLIA, COLA, HIPAA, or other laboratory quality and compliance standards.
⭐ Experience in assay validation, verification, and proficiency testing.
⭐ Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and electronic documentation.
⭐ Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills in a molecular laboratory setting.
⭐ Experience with inventory management, reagent tracking and laboratory documentation.
⭐ Exposure to quality assurance (QA), quality control (QC), and continuous process improvement initiatives.
⭐ Ability to mentor junior laboratory staff and support training activities.
⭐ Experience in a fast-paced startup or high throughput diagnostic laboratory is an added advantage.
