Job Role – Fitter
A Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, aligning, and maintaining mechanical parts, equipment, and fabricated structures as per engineering drawings and specifications. The role involves measuring, cutting, drilling, grinding, and fitting components accurately to ensure proper functionality and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Assemble and fit mechanical components, structures, and equipment.
- Perform marking, drilling, cutting, grinding, and alignment work.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments effectively.
- Ensure proper fitting and dimensional accuracy of fabricated parts.
- Assist in installation and maintenance of machinery and structures.
- Coordinate with welders, supervisors, and production teams.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and use PPE properly.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and cleanliness of the work area.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of fabrication and fitting processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, measuring tape, and spirit level.
- Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Physical strength and attention to detail.
Qualification
- ITI / Technical certification in Fitter trade preferred.
- 1-2 Years of experience in fabrication, machinery assembly, or industrial maintenance is an advantage.
Work Environment
- Fabrication workshops, manufacturing plants, construction sites, or industrial projects.
- May involve handling heavy materials and working in shifts.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹32,848.63 per month
