Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts & Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of our travel agency. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in travel industry accounting, IATA BSP reconciliation, supplier settlements, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
The role involves managing end-to-end accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial controls, maintaining regulatory compliance, and providing timely financial insights to support business growth. The successful candidate will independently manage day-to-day finance operations while working closely with management, suppliers, auditors, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the travel agency.
- Maintain accurate financial records for flight bookings, hotels, holiday packages, visa services, and other travel-related services.
- Manage customer invoicing, receipts, refunds, credit notes, and debit notes.
- Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of outstanding customer payments.
- Record and verify daily financial transactions, including cash, bank, credit card, UPI, and online payment collections.
- Perform regular reconciliation of customer accounts and payment records.
- Manage supplier accounts and process payments to airlines, hotels, consolidators, and other travel partners.
- Handle IATA BSP reconciliation, airline settlement processes, and travel industry financial reporting requirements.
- Reconcile supplier statements, identify discrepancies, and coordinate resolution with relevant partners.
- Prepare and maintain payment vouchers, receipts, invoices, and supporting financial documentation.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Monitor company expenses, reimbursements, petty cash, and operational costs.
- Prepare GST/VAT reports and ensure compliance with statutory financial requirements.
- Support payroll processing and employee expense management.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow reports, and financial summaries.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Establish and maintain effective financial controls, processes, and reporting systems.
- Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all financial and business information.
- Perform additional finance and administrative responsibilities as required by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting and finance operations (travel industry experience preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of travel agency accounting processes and financial operations.
- Mandatory experience with IATA BSP reconciliation and airline settlement procedures.
- Understanding of travel supplier accounting, ticketing settlements, and commission accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical ability with excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple financial priorities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
