The PR Marketing Specialist will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective public relations and marketing strategies to enhance the company’s brand image and promote its products or services. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, creativity, strong media understanding, and excellent communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships with the media, stakeholders, and the public.
Key Responsibilities
Industry Experience
- The candidate should have prior experience in the Publishing or Book Industry.
- A background in Journalism is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of newsroom practices, editorial workflows, and media storytelling.
Media Relations
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and other media professionals.
- Leverage journalism experience to pitch stories effectively and secure meaningful media coverage.
- Draft, edit, and distribute press releases and media advisories to promote key company initiatives.
Content Creation
- Develop clear, engaging, and newsworthy content for press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media platforms.
- Apply journalistic writing standards to ensure accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align PR messaging with overall marketing strategies.
Event Management
- Plan and coordinate press conferences, product launches, book launches, and other events to generate media coverage.
- Manage media interactions and ensure smooth execution of events.
Crisis Communication
- Act as a spokesperson during crisis situations, managing communication to minimize reputational risk.
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans and protocols.
Social Media Management
- Monitor and manage the company’s social media channels to enhance brand visibility and audience engagement.
- Develop and execute social media campaigns aligned with PR and marketing objectives.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in PR, journalism, marketing, or a related role.
- Formal or professional background in Journalism will be a strong advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think creatively, strategically, and editorially.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media trends.
- Strong crisis management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
