As an Associate in Category Management with 1.0-3.0 years of experience, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing category performance and driving strategic decisions that contribute to the overall success of the business. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks aimed at managing the product categories effectively to meet consumer demands and achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze market trends and consumer behavior, and use insights to develop category strategies.
- Implement pricing and promotional strategies to maximize category profitability and sales performance.
- Monitor category performance metrics and KPIs, and implement corrective actions as necessary to drive growth and efficiency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as sourcing, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment and execution of category plans.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for product assortment expansion or optimization within the category.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate terms, manage relationships, and ensure product availability.
Conduct regular competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends and benchmark the category performance against competitors.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of category management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Experience in retail or e-commerce industry is a plus.
