Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain cloud-native applications deployed on Microsoft Azure, leveraging a modern technology stack that includes React, Node.js, FastAPI, LangChain, and LangGraph. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and intelligent solutions that drive business value and innovation.
This is a pivotal technical role that bridges front-end user experience, back-end API services, AI/ML integrations, and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings deep full-stack proficiency, a strong foundation in Azure cloud services, experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, and a commitment to following Syneos-defined AI development guides, security guardrails, and engineering best practices in an agile environment.

Front-End Development
Design and develop responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using React.js.
Implement state management solutions and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs into front-end components.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility, mobile responsiveness, and adherence to UX/UI best practices.
Collaborate with designers and product owners to translate wireframes and requirements into production-ready code.
Back-End Development
Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js and FastAPI (Python).
Develop and integrate AI/ML workflows using LangChain and LangGraph for intelligent, agent-based application features.
Design data models and manage data persistence across Azure Cosmos DB, SQL Managed Instance (SQL MI), PostgreSQL and Azure Blob Storage.
Implement security best practices including authentication, authorization, and data encryption at the application layer.
Azure Cloud Infrastructure & Services
Deploy and manage containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including writing and maintaining Helm charts for repeatable, versioned deployments.
Build, optimize, and maintain Docker container images following best practices for security, layering, and image size.
Manage Kubernetes workloads: define deployments, services, config maps, secrets, resource quotas, and horizontal pod autoscaling.
Leverage Azure Blob Storage for scalable object storage, file management, and media pipelines.
Integrate Azure AI Search for intelligent full-text and vector search capabilities across application data.
Utilize Azure AI Foundry for building, testing, and deploying AI models and prompt flows within the application ecosystem.
Configure and optimize Azure SQL Managed Instance for relational data workloads.
AI-Driven Development & GitHub Copilot
Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate feature development, reduce boilerplate, and improve code quality.
Follow Syneos AI-driven development guidelines, including responsible use of AI code generation tools, prompt engineering standards, and output review protocols.
Contribute to the team's AI tooling practices by sharing learnings, reviewing AI-generated code rigorously, and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
Security, Compliance & Best Practices
Adhere strictly to Syneos security guardrails and engineering best practices across all phases of development — design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
Follow Syneos-defined secure coding standards including input validation, secrets management via Azure Key Vault, least-privilege IAM, and dependency vulnerability management.
Participate in security reviews, threat modeling sessions, and ensure code meets compliance requirements relevant to the organization's regulatory environment.
Apply OWASP guidelines and perform regular dependency audits to proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
DevOps & CI/CD
Maintain and enhance GitHub Actions-based CI/CD pipelines to support automated builds, testing, linting, container image builds, and Kubernetes deployments.
Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Bicep for repeatable Azure resource provisioning.
Monitor application health, performance, and reliability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and logging frameworks.
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to ensure system availability and rapid issue resolution.
Collaboration & Communication
Partner with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and data scientists across the full development lifecycle.
Conduct and participate in thorough code reviews to maintain code quality and foster knowledge sharing.
Contribute to technical documentation, architecture decision records (ADRs), and runbooks.
Communicate project status, risks, and technical trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Skill Requirements
Required Qualifications
Experience & Education
5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience in production environments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
Front-End Skills
Proficiency in React.js including hooks, context, and component lifecycle management.
Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3; TypeScript experience is a strong plus.
Experience with frontend build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or Create React App.
Back-End Skills
Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs with Node.js (Express or similar) and/or FastAPI.
Practical experience developing AI-powered workflows with LangChain and/or LangGraph.
Familiarity with asynchronous programming patterns, message queues, and event-driven architectures.
Containers, Orchestration & Deployment
Proficiency with Docker — writing Dockerfiles, building multi-stage images, and managing container registries.
Hands-on Kubernetes experience — deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting workloads; familiarity with kubectl and core Kubernetes objects (pods, deployments, services, ingresses, config maps, secrets).
Experience authoring and managing Helm charts for packaging and deploying Kubernetes applications.
Database & Storage
Experience with Azure Cosmos DB (NoSQL) for high-throughput, globally distributed workloads.
Proficiency with SQL and relational database design; experience with Azure SQL Managed Instance preferred.
Working knowledge of Azure Blob Storage for binary and unstructured data management.
Azure Cloud Services
Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) — cluster management, node pools, networking, and RBAC.
Familiarity with Azure AI Search for semantic and full-text search integration.
Experience using Azure AI Foundry for AI model management, evaluation, and deployment.
General Azure fluency: networking, identity (Azure AD / Entra ID), Key Vault, Container Registry, and resource management.
AI-Assisted Development
Demonstrated experience using GitHub Copilot or equivalent AI pair-programming tools in day-to-day development.
Ability to critically evaluate and responsibly integrate AI-generated code, ensuring quality, security, and maintainability.
Version Control & CI/CD
Proficiency with Git and GitHub; experience structuring branching strategies and pull request workflows.
Experience authoring or maintaining GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, container builds, and Kubernetes deployments.
Preferred Qualifications
DevOps experience: infrastructure automation, Kubernetes cluster operations, and site reliability engineering practices.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-204: Azure Developer Associate, AZ-400: DevOps Engineer Expert).
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or Grafana.
