Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring that production targets are achieved efficiently while maintaining quality, safety, hygiene, and compliance standards. The role involves managing production staff, monitoring workflows, optimizing productivity, and ensuring timely completion of production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Operations
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day production activities.
- Ensure production schedules are executed as planned to meet dispatch timelines.
- Monitor production output and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
Team Management
- Allocate work and supervise production operators and helpers.
- Monitor employee attendance, discipline, and performance.
- Train and guide production staff on processes, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, GMP, HACCP, and other applicable certifications.
- Conduct routine quality checks during production.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams to address deviations and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Safety & Hygiene
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote safe work practices and proper use of PPE.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the production area.
Inventory & Resource Management
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase departments for timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Report shortages, damages, and operational issues promptly.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily production reports and productivity metrics.
- Maintain production logs, machine utilization records, and shift reports.
- Report operational challenges and recommend process improvements.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
- Participate in process optimization and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Support implementation of lean manufacturing and operational excellence practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Production, Manufacturing, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, or related industries.
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in production operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
