Job Purpose
To manage the efficient operation and maintenance of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, achieving optimum treatment performance, maintaining Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems where applicable, and leading the ETP operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operation of the ETP, STP, RO, UF, MEE, ATFD, and ZLD systems (where applicable).
Ensure treated water quality meets statutory norms and Pollution Control Board requirements.
Monitor and control process parameters such as pH, COD, BOD, TDS, TSS, MLSS, and flow rates.
Optimize chemical consumption, energy usage, and water recovery.
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual operational reports.
Coordinate with Pollution Control Board officials during inspections and audits.
Ensure compliance with all environmental laws, permits, and consent conditions.
Supervise preventive and breakdown maintenance of ETP equipment.
Maintain inventory of chemicals, spares, and consumables.
Lead and train ETP operators, technicians, and maintenance staff.
Investigate process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of sludge and hazardous waste.
Maintain laboratory records and calibration of instruments.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce operating costs and improve treatment efficiency.
Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
M.Tech or Environmental Management qualification is an added advantage.
Experience
8–15 years of experience in ETP/CETP/WTP operations.
Experience with RO, MEE, ATFD, ZLD, biological treatment, and wastewater process optimization is preferred.
Skills
Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes.
Environmental compliance and statutory reporting.
Team leadership and manpower management.
Root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
MS Office and report preparation.
Good communication and coordination skills.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
