Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced IT Executive to lead and manage the organization's IT hardware, infrastructure, and technology operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planning, implementation, security, and maintenance of all IT systems, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations across the organization.Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management of IT hardware, servers, networks, and infrastructure across the head office and any branch locations.
- Plan, design, and implement IT infrastructure upgrades, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and end-user hardware.
- Manage procurement, deployment, and lifecycle maintenance of IT hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, servers, networking devices, etc.).
- Ensure network security, data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are in place and regularly tested.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware/network issues, and minimize downtime.
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and hardware/software suppliers.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices in line with industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and manage the IT department budget, including hardware and infrastructure investments.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, security, and scalability.
- Coordinate with other departments to understand technology needs and provide effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements applicable.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and hardware management.
- Proven hands-on experience with:
- Server administration (Windows/Linux)
- Network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls)
- Data center and IT hardware management
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus
- Backup and disaster recovery systems
- IT security protocols and best practices
- Strong knowledge of IT procurement and vendor management.
- Experience managing IT budgets and cost optimization.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Microsoft (MCSE), ITIL, or PMP.
- Prior experience in the financial services, banking, or offshore/international business sector.
- Experience working in a regulated environment
