Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our compassionate team. The Physiotherapist will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapeutic interventions to address the physical needs of children with autism. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with other professionals to optimize the overall health and functioning of our young clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to evaluate the motor skills, posture, and functional abilities of children with autism.
- Develop individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on assessment findings and therapeutic goals.
- Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques and exercises to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and balance.
- Provide hands-on manual therapy and therapeutic exercises tailored to the specific needs of each child.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate parents, caregivers, and other team members on home exercise programs and strategies to support the child's physical development.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals and promote holistic care.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
- Valid license to practice as a Physiotherapist in Kerala.
- Proven experience in pediatric physiotherapy, preferably with children with autism spectrum disorders.
- Strong understanding of motor development and therapeutic interventions for children with special needs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care and a commitment to promoting the well-being of children with autism.
