Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Professional Communication instructor to teach and mentor first-year B.Tech Computer Science Engineering students at NST's Pune campus. You will be responsible for delivering the Professional Communication curriculum across Semesters 1 and 2, designing course content, and building the practical, skill-based components that help students become confident, workplace-ready communicators.
Beyond classroom delivery, you will play a key role in preparing students for internships and placements - working closely with them on spoken English, presentation skills, and general interview readiness.
This is a high-energy, student-outcomes-driven role designed for someone who is passionate about shaping how young engineers communicate, present themselves, and prepare for the professional world.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures for Professional Communication (Semester 1 and Semester 2) for first-year B.Tech CSE students
- Create and develop course content and curriculum material for both semesters
- Design and evaluate assessments, and handle overall student evaluation for the course
- Design and facilitate practical components to upskill students, including group discussions, mock interviews, video assignments, and similar activities
- Support students with interview preparation for internships and placements, covering spoken English, presentation skills, HR questions etc
- Track student progress and provide structured, actionable feedback to help learners improve communication and interview readiness over time
Prior Experience
- 2–3 years of teaching experience in the English department at a college/university or 12th grade (senior secondary) level, or in a Professional English/communications role at a skill development, career readiness, or placement agency, or
- Active leadership in a college Placement Preparation Cell (driving GD/PI/mock interview prep) or a debate society/public speaking circuit, with experience training or mentoring peers, or
- A Bachelor's/Master's in English (Honors) or a related field, with a genuine interest in teaching grammar, sentence structuring, and applied communication
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
