The Fixed Income Dealer will be responsible for onboarding and managing the supply of corporate bonds from various sellers in the odd lot market. The Dealer will be responsible for fulfilling the demand generated by the sales team at Harmoney.
This is a junior position, with learning opportunities from the existing dealing team, which brings experience from the inter-bank market and mutual funds.
Responsibilities
- Onboard new suppliers for corporate bonds like treasuries, brokers, dealers, and corporates
- Manage existing relationships with dealers and suppliers to ensure liquidity
- Source bonds for the demand generated by the sales team and fulfill a maximum number of trades
- Negotiate with sellers to get the best price and improve revenue for the company
- Coordinate with the sales team to execute trades, and with operations to ensure smooth settlement of trades in a timely manner
Requirements
- Prior experience: 1-3 years in financial services, capital markets or wealth industry
- Excellent communication skills. The candidate should be able to interact and form relationships with suppliers
- The position will have a revenue linked incentive
