Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the truck workshop and fleet maintenance activities.
- Ensure timely preventive and breakdown maintenance of all commercial vehicles/trucks.
- Monitor vehicle health, fitness, servicing schedules, and maintenance records.
- Reduce vehicle downtime and improve fleet availability.
- Supervise mechanics, technicians, electricians, and workshop staff.
- Coordinate with drivers and operations teams regarding vehicle issues and repairs.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, lubricants, tyres, and workshop tools.
- Control maintenance costs and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, pollution norms, and transport regulations.
- Coordinate with external vendors/service centers for specialized repairs and AMC services.
- Prepare maintenance MIS reports, vehicle performance reports, and cost analysis.
- Monitor fuel efficiency, tyre performance, and breakdown trends.
- Ensure proper documentation of job cards, service records, insurance, permits, and vehicle fitness certificates.
- Implement best practices for workshop management and fleet optimization.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle/truck maintenance.
- Understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and vehicle diagnostics.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Cost control and inventory management skills.
- Knowledge of fleet management software/MS Excel.
- Ability to handle emergency breakdown situations efficiently.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
