We are looking for an experienced and responsible Construction Supervisor to oversee day-to-day construction activities at the project site. The candidate will be responsible for supervising workers and contractors, ensuring work is completed according to approved drawings and specifications, maintaining quality and safety standards, and achieving project timelines.
Key Responsibilities1. Site Supervision
- Supervise daily construction activities at the project site.
- Monitor contractors, subcontractors, labourers, and other site personnel.
- Allocate work to workers and ensure proper utilization of manpower.
- Ensure construction work is carried out as per approved drawings, designs, and specifications.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, vendors, and project management.
2. Quality Control
- Ensure the quality of construction work meets required standards.
- Check materials, workmanship, measurements, and finishing.
- Identify defective or substandard work and ensure timely rectification.
- Ensure proper use and storage of construction materials.
3. Progress & Timeline Management
- Monitor daily and weekly progress against the project schedule.
- Ensure activities are completed within agreed timelines.
- Identify delays, site issues, and resource requirements and report them to management.
- Maintain daily progress records and site reports.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure workers follow all required safety procedures.
- Monitor the use of helmets, safety shoes, harnesses, and other PPE.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or practices immediately.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness at the construction site.
- Follow applicable building, safety, and environmental regulations.
5. Material & Equipment Management
- Monitor the receipt, usage, and storage of construction materials.
- Ensure materials are available as per project requirements.
- Prevent unnecessary wastage, damage, or misuse of materials.
- Monitor construction equipment and tools and report maintenance requirements.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily site attendance and labour records.
- Prepare daily/weekly construction progress reports.
- Maintain records of material consumption and deliveries.
- Report site problems, accidents, delays, and additional requirements to management.
- Maintain proper records of measurements and completed work.
7. Coordination
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and other teams as required.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for smooth execution of work.
- Assist engineers and project managers during inspections and site meetings.
- Resolve routine site-level issues and escalate major technical or contractual issues to management.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Relevant experience in construction site supervision.
- Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and site practices.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and measurements.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and quality standards.
Experience
Preferred: 3–7 years of relevant experience in construction supervision.
Candidates with experience in residential, commercial, institutional, school, or large-scale building projects will be preferred.
