Key Responsibilities
3D Modeling & Assembly:Design and develop complex 3D parts and assemblies using SolidWorks and SolidEdge based on concepts, sketches, or global design inputs.
Global Collaboration:Partner with cross-functional, multi-geography teams (including design centers in the US/Europe/Asia, manufacturing plants, and global suppliers) to execute projects seamlessly across different time zones.
2D Drafting & Detailing:Createaccurate2D manufacturing drawings, including detailed views, sections, and global Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
GD&T Application:Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles, stack-up analysis, and fitments to ensure compliance with international manufacturing and assembly standards.
Design Change Management:Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ECN) andmaintainglobal design history and documentation within enterprise PDM/PLM systems.
Standards & Compliance:Ensure all designscomply withinternational industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, DIN) and specific regional regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
Engineering Knowledge:Strong understanding of global manufacturing processes such as machining&casting.
Data Management:Familiarity with enterprise PDM/PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter, SolidWorks PDM) for global revision control and secure data sharing.
Global & Professional Experience
Experience:5 to 6 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Design/CAD Engineer,with at least 2-3 years directly supporting international clients or global cross-functional teams.
Cultural Adaptability:Proven ability to work in a multicultural environment with strong professional etiquette and adaptability to different working styles.
Communication:Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical design concepts clearly to remote stakeholders.
