· Transformer erection & commissioning, Preventive & breakdown maintenance, Oil filtration & dehydration, on-site electrical testing, Transformer overhauling & refurbishment, Fault identification & troubleshooting
· Experience working in industrial sites, utilities, and substations preferred.

TELAWNE POWER EQUIPMENTS PVT LTD is into manufacturing and repairing of Power & Distribution Transformers up to 10MVA, 33KV. From 1999-2000 to 2003-2004, the company geared itself with adequate technical knowledge. In 2003-04, TELAWNE POWER EQUIPMENTS PVT LTD facility was installed to manufacture Oil Immersed Power and Distribution Transformers up to 50MVA, 132kV Class, Resin Impregnated Dry Type Transformers up to 5MVA, 22KV Class, Cast Resin Dry type Transformers up to 5 MVA, 33 KV Class, Unitised & Pad Mounted Substations up to 2MVA, 33KV Class. The total installed capacity is 1000 MVA per annum on three shift basis in assorted ratings. Skills Required: - Strong technical knowledge of Power & Distribution Transformers. Hands-on experience in testing: IR, PI, Ratio, Vector Group, WR, BDV, Tan Delta (preferred). Ability to read transformer drawings, wiring diagrams, and service manuals. Skilled in identifying transformer faults and providing corrective solutions. Good understanding of OLTC mechanisms, bushings, cooling systems, conservator, and accessories. Ability to prepare testing reports, service reports, and site documentation. Strong communication skills for customer interaction at site. Ability to lead technicians/workmen during service jobs. Knowledge of safety procedures, risk assessment, and site compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities: -
· Execute transformer service activities at customer sites including: Installation & commissioning, Preventive & corrective maintenance, Oil filtration, dehydration & oil quality improvement, Diagnosis of failures and onsite troubleshooting, overhauling of transformers (up to permitted capacity), Conduct electrical tests and ensure accuracy of testing reports.
· Prepare daily service updates, job completion reports, and test documentation. Inspect transformers for abnormalities, assess repair needs, and provide technical recommendations. Coordinate with internal teams (Testing, Quality, Production, Stores) for technical queries or part requirements.
· Attend customer complaints and ensure timely resolution with minimal downtime. Ensure all service jobs are performed as per procedure, safety norms, and customer specifications.
· Maintain tools, testing instruments, and ensure calibration as required.
· Support Sales/Service teams with technical inputs during customer visits or discussions.
· Escalate critical issues to Service Manager and follow through until closure.
· Ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks and maintain customer satisfaction.
Technical Expertise (If Any): -
· Proficiency in transformer diagnostic testing (IR, PI, WR, Ratio, Tan Delta, BDV, etc.).
· Knowledge of oil filtration equipment, vacuum plant operations, and testing kits.
· Understanding of OLTC servicing, tap changer inspection & minor repairs.
· Ability to interpret test results, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
