Role Overview
The Sales & Marketing professional will be responsible for driving business growth by building strong relationships with schools, educators, and distributors, promoting educational products (books, magazines, digital solutions), and executing marketing strategies to expand market reach.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Responsibilities
- Generate business opportunities by approaching schools, institutions, and distributors
- Promote and sell:
- School books & curriculum solutions
- Primary Plus magazine & programs
- Digital learning tools and training modules
- Conduct product presentations, demos, and workshops in schools
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with school decision-makers (Principals, Coordinators)
- Manage end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation → meeting → negotiation → closure
Marketing Responsibilities
- Plan and execute B2B marketing strategies in the education sector
- Organize:
- School workshops
- Teacher training sessions
- Educational events & exhibitions
- Develop brand awareness in assigned territory
- Coordinate with digital marketing team for campaigns, leads, and promotions
- Collect market feedback and competitor insights
Business Development
- Identify new markets, territories, and expansion opportunities
- Build partnerships with:
- Schools
- Coaching institutes
- Educational networks
- Strengthen distribution channels and dealer network
Key Skills Required
- Strong communication & presentation skills
- Relationship management & negotiation skills
- Understanding of education industry / school ecosystem
- Target-oriented and result-driven mindset
- Ability to conduct demos, workshops, and training sessions
- Good networking and field sales capability
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate (MBA preferred – Marketing/Sales)
- 5–10 years of experience in:
- Educational publishing / EdTech / School sales
- B2B sales (preferred)
