Job Summary
We are looking for a highly qualified, passionate, and experienced PGT Science Teacher to teach senior secondary students. The candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom-management skills, and the ability to prepare students for board examinations and competitive academic pathways.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons for senior secondary classes.
- Teach concepts through practical examples, demonstrations, experiments, and problem-solving activities.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans, notes, worksheets, assignments, question papers, and study materials.
- Ensure timely completion of the prescribed syllabus.
- Conduct regular class tests, practical assessments, assignments, and examinations.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive academic feedback.
- Prepare students effectively for Class 11 & 12 board examinations.
- Develop students’ analytical, scientific, logical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Organize and supervise laboratory activities and practical sessions.
- Ensure proper laboratory safety procedures during experiments.
- Provide remedial classes and additional academic support to students where required.
- Maintain student attendance, academic records, assessment reports, and other documentation.
- Use smart-class, digital resources, simulations, and educational technology wherever appropriate.
- Communicate with parents regarding students’ academic progress when required.
- Participate in staff meetings, teacher-training programs, workshops, examinations, and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school management to improve academic performance.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and student-friendly classroom environment.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Science / relevant subject from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- Candidates fulfilling applicable PGT eligibility requirements will be preferred.
- Strong command of the relevant Science subject and senior-secondary curriculum.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in digital teaching tools and technology.
