1. Position Overview
The QS & Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing quantity take-offs, verifying site measurements, preparing RA bills, subcontractor bills, and ensuring accurate documentation for smooth billing operations. The role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of BOQ, drawings, and billing procedures to support project financial accuracy.
2. Key Responsibilities / KRAs
A. Quantity Surveying
- Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings (Tender, GFC, Shop Drawings).
- Verify quantities and measurements received from site.
- Maintain updated BOQ and track deviations.
- Assist in cost estimation, rate analysis, and material requirement planning.
B. Client Billing
- Prepare RA bills, final bills, and measurement sheets as per BOQ and contract.
- Ensure bills are supported with proper documentation (MBs, DPR, photos, and checklists).
- Coordinate with client/consultant for bill submission and certification.
- Incorporate variation items and extra items into bills.
C. Subcontractor Billing
- Verify subcontractor RA bills based on actual executed work.
- Check measurements, rate applicability, deductions, and material reconciliation.
- Coordinate with site team for measurement confirmation.
- Prepare approval notes for processed subcontractor bills.
D. Measurement Documentation
- Maintain Measurement Books (MB), work done registers, and quantity logs.
- Ensure 100% accuracy in entries and compliance with company standards.
- Conduct joint measurements with site engineers and contractors.
E. Rate Analysis & Variations
- Prepare rate analysis for new items.
- Identify variation items, deviation quantities, and extra works.
- Support in preparing rate justification and client submission files.
F. Coordination
- Communicate with Site Engineers, Planning, Contracts, and Billing teams.
- Assist in resolving billing discrepancies or measurement conflicts.
- Coordinate with accounts for invoice preparation and submission.
G. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly billing MIS reports.
- Maintain project billing trackers and measurement status.
- Support audit requirements by providing accurate documentation.

4. Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of QS & Billing procedures.
- Ability to read drawings and BOQ.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Office.
- Knowledge of IS Codes, construction measurement standards, and billing software (ERP preferred).
- Experience in RA billing, rate analysis, and documentation.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
