Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled VMC Operator to operate Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines for precision machining of engineering components. The candidate should be able to read engineering drawings, set up jobs, inspect components, and maintain quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate VMC machines safely and efficiently.
- Perform machine setup, tool changing, and workpiece loading.
- Read and understand engineering drawings.
- Measure finished components using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Ensure components meet quality specifications.
- Report machine issues or tool wear to the supervisor.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and follow 5S practices.
- Follow all company safety procedures.
Requirements
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 1–5 years of experience as a VMC Operator.
- Knowledge of Fanuc control is preferred.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of measuring instruments.
- Willingness to work in shifts when required.
Salary
₹15,000 – ₹35,000+ per month (based on experience and skills)
