Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to join our Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for the supervision of retrofitting, structural strengthening, and renovation projects. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring site execution, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and project progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor all retrofitting and renovation activities executed by contractors.
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Consultants, Contractors, and Clients.
- Verify workmanship and ensure compliance with quality standards and PMC requirements.
- Monitor structural repair activities, including RCC repairs, jacketing, epoxy injection, grouting, FRP wrapping, steel plate bonding, anchor fixing, and waterproofing works.
- Inspect daily site activities and report deviations or non-conformities to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.
- Verify contractor manpower deployment, material usage, and work progress.
- Ensure implementation of all safety regulations and site housekeeping standards.
- Maintain daily site reports, inspection records, and progress updates.
- Assist the PMC team in project planning, coordination, and timely completion of milestones.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of retrofitting, structural rehabilitation, and renovation works.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Experience in quality inspection, contractor supervision, and site coordination.
- Good understanding of construction safety and quality management practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Qualification
- Diploma/ITI/Certificate in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 8–10 years of experience in retrofitting, renovation, or rehabilitation projects.
- Previous experience working with a PMC or reputed construction company will be preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in commercial buildings, hospitals, industrial facilities, residential high-rise projects, or institutional buildings.
