Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute component, subsystem, and system-level verification and validation plans based on technical requirements and stakeholder inputs.
- Support creation and maintenance of Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) documentation and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Perform requirement analysis and derive test cases using techniques such as Boundary Value Analysis (BVA), Equivalence Class (EC) testing, and risk-based methodologies.
- Conduct verification and validation activities using HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), SIL (Software-in-the-Loop), and MIL (Model-in-the-Loop) environments.
- Execute and support closed-loop testing activities to validate product functionality and system performance.
- Analyze test results, identify failures, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Own resolution of moderately complex product, component, or system issues with guidance from senior engineers when required.
- Evaluate analytical, simulation, and physical test data to validate product capability against requirements.
- Utilize systems engineering principles to manage interfaces, requirements traceability, integration activities, and product risk.
- Support product failure mode avoidance activities, including identification of potential failure modes and mitigation strategies.
- Apply statistical methods and data-driven approaches to support engineering decisions and improve product quality.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, test reports, issue logs, and validation records.
- Support change request (CR) management and verification of engineering changes.
- Use engineering tools and processes including Engineering Standard Work (ESW), iDFMEA, DVP&R, Integrity, Power BI, and other validation systems.
- Create and maintain test automation scripts using Python, CAPL, NI TestStand, ECU-Test, or similar tools.
- Work with communication protocols such as CAN, J1939, UDS, and related diagnostics systems.
- Coordinate testing activities with technicians, interns, or other supporting resources as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for test methodologies, tools, and validation processes.
- Collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional teams to meet project timelines, quality targets, and business objectives.
