Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer Mech with a strong background in fabrication and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing safe, innovative, and cost-effective indoor and outdoor play equipment, Scientific equipment, preparing manufacturing drawings, and coordinating with production to ensure smooth fabrication and assembly.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop indoor and outdoor play equipment, scientific equipment, fitness equipment, and fabricated structures.
- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings, 3D models, 3D printing, assembly drawings, preparation of drawing for CNC machine and fabrication drawings.
- Plan, design, and execute assigned projects and activities effectively.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with customer requirements, applicable safety standards, and manufacturing specifications.
- Coordinate closely with production, fabrication, procurement, and quality teams to ensure timely project execution.
- Optimize product designs for manufacturability, durability, cost efficiency, and ease of installation.
- Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, and site installation whenever required.
- Review and improve existing product designs to enhance quality, functionality, and production efficiency.
- Resolve design-related issues and implement engineering changes as required.
- Participate in new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Willing to travel to project sites for project execution, participate in client meetings, attend special project discussions, and provide on-site support as required.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, sheet metal, structural steel fabrication, and mechanical assemblies.
- Candidates should have experience working with SAP. Experience with any other ERP software is also preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
- Good understanding of manufacturing drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and fabrication standards.
- Knowledge of materials such as MS, GI, stainless steel, aluminium, plastics, FRP, and powder-coated components is an advantage.
- Experience in BOM preparation, product development, and design documentation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech M.E / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in fabrication design.
- Experience in manufacturing or similar engineering products is highly preferred.
Salary
- ₹35,000 – ₹60,000 per month.
- Salary is negotiable and will not be a constraint for the right candidate with relevant skills and experience.

- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on exposure to fabrication, production coordination, and product development.
- Ability to independently manage multiple design projects from concept to production.

- Candidates with experience in playground equipment, scientific equipment or fabricated engineering products will be given preference.
