Job Description
Wild Planet Resort is looking for an experienced South Indian Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in preparing authentic South Indian dishes while maintaining high standards of taste, quality, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of South Indian dishes, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner items.
- Cook traditional dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, appam, puttu, sambar, rasam, chutneys, curries, and rice-based meals.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen according to food safety standards.
- Monitor food stock and inform the Head Chef about inventory requirements.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and service.
- Follow all kitchen safety and sanitation procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a South Indian Cook.
- Strong knowledge of South Indian cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
