About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Quality Engineer to join the EGL team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating business and system requirements into technical solutions for automation frameworks and software tools. This role requires strong expertise in Mainframe testing, automation development, quality engineering best practices, and collaboration across engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Translate business and system requirements into technical requirements for automation frameworks and software tools.
Design, develop, document, and maintain automated test solutions and software utilities.
Participate in planning, design, execution, and reporting of automation metrics and KPIs.
Follow software engineering principles while developing automation frameworks and maintain high code quality standards with minimal technical debt.
Apply Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) concepts to design, test, and debug automation solutions.Design, develop, document, and maintain optimized automated test scripts.
Provide rotational Quality Engineering on-call support for Production and Pre-Production environments.
Measure, track, and report key Quality Engineering metrics.
6 to 9 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Engineering.
Strong experience in Mainframe Systems Testing including CICS Screens, VSAM Files, JCL, DB2, and SPUFI.
Experience with Web UI testing and RESTful Web Services validation using automation frameworks.
Strong expertise in analyzing batch job outputs and backend data using DB2 and VSAM.Experience validating RESTful Web Services using automation.
Experience validating Event-Driven Architectures using automation.
Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
