We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Costing Head to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost auditing, cost accounting, and cost analysis within a manufacturing or engineering environment. This includes raw material cost assessment, production cost analysis, overhead allocation, cost optimization strategies, and financial reporting. The role ensures accurate cost computation, budget control, and profitability analysis to support strategic decision-making. Proficiency in SAP (costing module) and strong analytical skills are essential.
Job Duties & Key Responsibilities
* Duties and Responsibilities - Key responsibilities: 1. Inventory Valuation: • Determine the value of inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. • Standard cost accuracy in SAP for all Units. • Ensure accurate inventory valuation for financial reporting • Reconciliation of COGS as per Costing and P&L for month end reporting 2. Monthly Costing MIS: • Prepare and present monthly cost reports and analyses for management. • Support performance monitoring and decision-making. • Plant wise resources utilization report (Machine & Manpower) 3. Variance Analysis: • Compare actual costs to budgeted or standard costs. • Identify and explain variances to support cost control. 4. Data Analysis and Report Preparation: • Collect, process, and analyze data to prepare detailed reports. • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis • Contribute to the calculation of Budgeted Cost of Goods Sold for annual budgets • Analysis of Data / Reports from SAP and managing SAP - CO and SAP - COPA module. • Create and submit various reports to the Accounts Team for monthly Profit and Loss A/c. 5. Maintenance of Cost Centers, Hourly Rates, and Process Costs: • Manage and update cost centers in SAP • Determine and maintain accurate hourly rates for labor. • Calculate process costs for accurate cost allocation for direct and Indirect Cost 6. Preparation of Cost Sheets: • Compile and analyze all costs associated with the production of goods or services. • Determine total cost and cost per unit 7. Inventory Audits for Factories and WH : • Oversee quarterly physical stock verification at factory and depot through instructions given to the respective staff • Adjustment of Stock Variance in books of accounts with requisite approvals 8. Insurance: • Timely renewal of insurance policies of assets of the company • Coordination and liaison with Surveyors, Insurance Brokers, Sales Depots/ Factories in case of any insurance claim.
