Job Title: Canteen Cook (Indian Cuisine)
Job Summary We are looking for an experienced, highly punctual, and dedicated Indian Cook to manage daily food preparation in our busy canteen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cooking authentic and delicious Indian meals, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring food is ready exactly on schedule. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook traditional Indian breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner according to the daily canteen menu.
- Ensure all meals are prepared and served strictly on time—punctuality is a mandatory requirement for this role.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including daily chopping, prep work, and notifying management when supplies are running low.
- Minimize food wastage while maintaining consistent taste and portion sizes.
- Clean and organize kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations at the end of each shift.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a cook in a canteen, restaurant, or similar high-volume food service environment.
- Expertise in cooking a variety of authentic Indian dishes (dals, curries, breads like roti/paratha, rice dishes, and snacks).
- Exceptional time-management skills and a track record of strict punctuality.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle bulk cooking.
- Good physical stamina and willingness to work flexible canteen hours.
Pay: From ₹8,343.96 per month
