Required qualifications to be successful in this role
We are looking for a GCP Cloud Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and cloud database technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, automating, and supporting secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure while working closely with application, DevOps, and security teams.
Key Responsibilities :
. Design, implement, and manage GCP infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
. Support GCP Landing Zones, multi-project environments, and governance frameworks using Organizations, Folders, and IAM.
. Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters and containerized workloads.
. Configure and maintain GCP networking components including VPCs, subnets, routes, firewall rules, and Private Service Connect.
. Implement security best practices using IAM, Service Accounts, Secret Manager, Cloud KMS, and Cloud Armor.
. Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operational tasks using Python, Shell scripting, or PowerShell.
. Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Datadog, Dynatrace, or similar tools.
. Manage backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability configurations across cloud resources.
. Support and administer GCP database services such as Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Firestore, Bigtable, or Cloud Spanner.
. Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to optimize performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Required / Must have Skills :
. 3–4 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
. Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure automation.
. Hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Kubernetes concepts, deployments, autoscaling, and container orchestration.
. Good understanding of GCP networking, including VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, routing, and load balancing.
. Experience with GCP IAM, security controls, and cloud governance.
. Knowledge of cloud databases such as Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Firestore, Bigtable, or Cloud Spanner.
. Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Datadog, or Dynatrace.
. Proficiency in scripting using Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
