Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality, conceptually clear education in Applied Physics to first-year engineering undergraduate students (B.Tech). The candidate will be responsible for bridging foundational scientific concepts with their practical applications in various engineering disciplines, managing the physics laboratory, and contributing to the academic growth of the institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Delivery: Conduct lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Applied Physics for B.Tech students according to the prescribed Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) syllabus.
- Laboratory Management: Oversee the Physics Lab, ensuring safety protocols, updating experiments, supervising students during practical classes, and maintaining equipment (optics, mechanics, electronics setups).
- Student Mentorship: Act as a batch mentor/class coordinator, providing academic counseling, monitoring attendance, and managing continuous internal evaluation (sessional exams, assignments, quizzes).
- Curriculum Development: Design modern course files, prepare detailed lesson plans, and create engaging learning materials (PPTs, question banks, and lab manuals).
- Research & Innovation: Engage in independent or collaborative research, publish papers in peer-reviewed journals (UGC Care/SCOPUS), and participate in/organize national conferences or workshops.
- Administrative Duties: Contribute to department-level and institutional tasks such as admission counseling, exam invigilation, NAAC/NBA documentation, and organizing cultural or technical fests.
Required Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications must strictly align with AICTE and UGC norms:
- Education: Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Physics / Applied Physics with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) from a recognized University.
- Mandatory Clearance: Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR, OR hold a Ph.D. in Physics/Applied Physics (candidates with a Ph.D. awarded in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009/2016 are preferred and typically exempted from NET).
- Experience: Open to both fresh Ph.D./NET holders with a strong passion for teaching and experienced educators looking to transition.
Desired Skills & Core Competencies
- Flawless conceptual clarity in topics like Quantum Mechanics, Wave Optics, Fiber Optics, Laser Systems, and Semiconductor Physics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English and Hindi to engage effectively with a diverse student cohort.
- Familiarity with digital teaching aids, virtual labs, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- An active research aptitude (prior publications or patent filings are a major plus).
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
