The Sourcing Manager will be primarily responsible for developing new and potential vendors, along with streamlining the existing ones. He/she will also be responsible for driving DFM changes to drive down cost and lead times.
- Drive and execute Annual and Strategic Plan with supporting strategies
- Lead DFM opportunities with suppliers along with Engineering and Process functions
- Manage Category and Commodity Strategies including spend analysis, Benchmarking, Cost, Market Analysis and Global Technology / Economic trends
- Ensure Relationship development and management with key Supplier Leaderships
- Align with Product management, R&D, Operations, Finance and Quality and other departments
- Manage Supplier selection, RFQ and RFI process, Negotiation, Contracting and supplier performance processes
- Ensure Relationship development and management with key Supplier Leaderships
- Manage Supplier selection, RFQ and RFI process, Negotiation, Contracting and supplier performance processes by maintaining Supplier Scorecards
- Apply effective Sourcing supplier risk assessment methodologies to ensure supplier continuity
- Improve Working Capital through Payment Terms extensions, Payment cycle optimization, Vendor Managed Inventories Inventory and Lead time reductions.
- Manage fixed assets capital procurement by establishing sustainable vendor base and develop a strong and robust Capital equipment’s expenditure process.
- Manage Annual spend worth 150 cr INR by creating a sustainable vendor base.
- Should have developed alternate OEM during the tenure as Sourcing Lead.
- Should have completed cost reduction projects to the tune 10-15% of spend YOY.
