Job Summary
We are looking for a Production Engineer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing of conveyor systems. The candidate should have strong knowledge of fabrication, assembly, production planning, quality standards, and shop floor management. The role requires coordination with design, projects, quality, and stores to ensure timely production and dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, monitor, and execute daily production activities as per the production schedule.
- Supervise fabrication, machining, welding, painting, and assembly of conveyor equipment.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned timeline.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing drawings.
- Coordinate with the Design, Projects, Purchase, Quality, and Stores departments.
- Monitor manpower utilization and improve shop floor productivity.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and company SOPs.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce production time and material wastage.
- Maintain daily production reports and update management on progress.
- Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of machines, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all safety regulations and promote safe working practices.
- Support dispatch planning by ensuring materials are ready as per project timelines.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in conveyor manufacturing (Belt Conveyors, Screw Conveyors, Roller Conveyors, Chain Conveyors, Bucket Elevators, etc.).
- Good understanding of fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes.
- Ability to read and understand AutoCAD/manufacturing drawings.
- Knowledge of production planning and shop floor operations.
- Familiarity with quality inspection procedures and production documentation.
- Good communication and team coordination skills.
- Problem-solving ability and leadership skills.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
