Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day production activities of our Stainless Steel (SS) Tubes & Pipes manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, improving productivity, managing manpower, and ensuring smooth factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and monitor daily production activities for SS tubes and pipes.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per the production plan and customer requirements.
- Supervise production staff, operators, and contract workers.
- Monitor production processes, machine performance, and material utilization.
- Maintain proper production records, reports, and MIS.
- Identify production losses, wastage, and process issues and take corrective action.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, Dispatch, and Accounts/HR departments for smooth operations.
- Ensure proper utilization of raw materials, consumables, manpower, and machinery.
- Maintain production efficiency and reduce rejection, wastage, and downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
- Conduct regular meetings with workers and supervisors to resolve production-related issues.
- Train and guide employees to improve productivity, discipline, and work quality.
HR & Employee-Related Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day manpower planning and deployment.
- Monitor employee attendance, shift allocation, overtime, and absenteeism.
- Coordinate with HR regarding recruitment requirements, manpower shortages, and employee issues.
- Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to company rules and policies.
- Support HR in employee performance monitoring and training activities.
- Assist in resolving worker-related grievances and workplace issues.
- Coordinate shift schedules and ensure adequate manpower availability for production.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Stainless Steel Tubes/Pipes manufacturing or a similar steel manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, manpower management, and factory operations.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle production pressure and achieve targets.
- Hindi speaking is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Tamil/English will be an advantage.
- Malayalam language knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Should be willing to work in shifts and manage shop-floor operations.
- Good knowledge of basic computer applications and production reporting.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
