About the Programme
REIL is developing a cutting-edge enterprise AI platform focused on financial compliance and intelligence.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to completely own both the application layer and the user-facing interfaces of the platform. You will build the robust backend services that power core workflows—such as case management, exception handling, and feedback loops—as well as the intuitive interfaces through which compliance and assurance teams interact with the system.
You are highly comfortable owning both layers fluidly and moving seamlessly between backend systems and modern frontend architectures.
Key Responsibilities1. Application Backend
- Design and build the core application services powering the platform, including exception case management, workflow state tracking, audit logging, and user action recording.
- Build the critical feedback mechanisms that capture validator decisions and overrides, routing them back to the AI layer for continuous model improvement.
- Own the data models for all application-layer entities, exception cases, workflow states, and historical decision trails.
- Build and maintain scalable API endpoints consumed by the frontend, ensuring clear contracts, strict versioning, and graceful error handling.
- Implement robust Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) across the application to handle varied permissions across compliance teams.
- Build real-time notification and alerting services to surface deadline-sensitive items and pending exceptions to the right users instantly.
- Ensure all application services maintain an uncompromised, ironclad audit trail to meet strict regulatory and compliance standards.
2. Frontend & User Interfaces
- Build highly functional workflow interfaces used by operations and compliance teams, such as exception queues, validation screens, interactive dashboards, and status views.
- Intuitively surface complex AI outputs—including model confidence scores, historical context, and recommendations—making them easily actionable for non-technical users.
- Conduct interactive working sessions with compliance teams to validate usability, gather feedback, and iterate before production deployment.
- Maintain a highly consistent, responsive, and functional UI component architecture across all modules of the platform.
3. Quality & Production Readiness
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests covering both frontend and backend components.
- Ensure the application layer is production-ready, highly observable, monitored, and stable under expected enterprise loads.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation
- B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Required Experience
- 4+ years of professional full stack engineering experience with proven ownership of both frontend and backend layers in production environments.
- Solid experience building internal enterprise workflow tools, case management systems, or operational dashboards.
- Highly comfortable being the sole owner of a feature full-stack, working effectively without needing dedicated frontend or backend counterparts.
Technical Skill Set
- Frontend: Strong expertise in React or Vue.js.
- Backend: Strong expertise in Python or Node.js for API and microservice development.
- Databases: Deep understanding of PostgreSQL or equivalent relational databases; basic familiarity with NoSQL.
- API Design: Clean RESTful API design and consumption; experience building against strictly defined API contracts.
- Testing: Proficiency with unit and integration testing frameworks for both frontend and backend stacks.
- Containerization & Tools: Docker; basic Kubernetes familiarity; Git-based workflows and rigorous code review practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience building user-facing applications that consume, visualize, or display ML/AI model outputs.
- Background in compliance, fintech, operations, or enterprise workflow management tools.
- Familiarity with data visualization libraries for building rich analytics dashboards and exception reports.
- Exposure to UI/UX accessibility and usability best practices for internal corporate tooling.
