Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Air Freight Export Specialist to manage end-to-end international air export shipments during the night shift.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience exclusively in Air Export operations within the air freight, freight forwarding, or air cargo industry. The role requires strong operational knowledge of airline bookings, export documentation, shipment tracking, and coordination with customers, airlines, overseas agents, transporters, and customs brokers.
Applicants must be comfortable working a permanent night shift and coordinating with international customers and partners across different time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage air export shipments from booking through cargo uplift and final delivery.
- Obtain freight rates and flight schedules from airlines, consolidators, and overseas agents.
- Make airline bookings based on cargo requirements, routing, transit time, and cost.
- Prepare and verify export documentation, including:
- Master Air Waybill (MAWB)
- House Air Waybill (HAWB)
- Shipping Instructions
- Commercial Invoice and Packing List
- Cargo Manifest and Pre-Alert Documents
- Coordinate cargo pickup, warehouse handling, customs clearance, airline acceptance, and uplift.
- Calculate actual, volumetric, and chargeable weight accurately.
- Track shipments and provide timely status updates to customers and overseas partners.
- Coordinate with airlines regarding flight schedules, cargo acceptance, offloading, delays, and shipment exceptions.
- Send pre-alerts and complete documentation to overseas agents within required timelines.
- Resolve operational issues such as delayed cargo, documentation discrepancies, short-shipped cargo, and missed connections.
- Enter and maintain accurate shipment information in the freight management system.
- Verify buying and selling rates and support timely customer billing.
- Ensure compliance with applicable customs requirements, airline procedures, IATA regulations, and internal standard operating procedures.
- Maintain complete shipment records for operational, financial, and audit purposes.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience exclusively in Air Export operations within the air freight, freight forwarding, or air cargo industry.
- Strong hands-on experience managing end-to-end international Air Export shipments independently.
- Good knowledge of MAWB, HAWB, airline booking procedures, and export documentation.
- Understanding of Incoterms, customs clearance processes, chargeable-weight calculations, and air freight charges.
- Experience coordinating with airlines, customs brokers, transporters, warehouses, customers, and overseas agents.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, CargoWise, and freight forwarding software.
- Willingness and availability to work a permanent night shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
- Experience handling urgent, temperature-controlled, pharmaceutical, valuable, or dangerous goods cargo.
- Experience working with U.S. export shipments and overseas agents.

Shift Requirement
This is a permanent night-shift position. Applicants must be willing and available to work the designated night-shift schedule and coordinate with international customers and partners across different time zones.
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
