Job Description
This position is responsible for ensuring reliable and safe operation of all electrical system and Field instruments i.e. LT, Control valve, Flomenter and sensors within the plant through shift maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive care. The position supports uninterrupted plant operations, project execution, and DG set maintenance while strictly adhering to SOPs, safety standards, and documentation requirements.
Main Responsibilities

Perform shift-based electrical and instrumentation maintenance, troubleshooting faults to ensure uninterrupted plant operations. Install, service, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including machinery, panels, wiring, lighting fixtures, and associated components.

Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance in accordance with schedules and SOPs.

Carry out instrumentation maintenance and calibration of field instruments such as level transmitters (LT), pressure/flow/temperature instruments, and sensors.

Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate control valves, actuator-operated valves, and associated positioners.

Perform maintenance and servicing of actuator valves, including pneumatic and motorized actuators.

Execute calibration activities using standard instruments and maintain calibration records.

Handle maintenance of packing line equipment, including sensors, drives, control systems, and interlocks.

Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical/testing instruments.

Read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

Maintain accurate documentation including logbooks, maintenance checklists, calibration reports, and job completion records.

Support plant maintenance, shutdowns, and project-related electrical/instrumentation work.

Ensure proper operation, monitoring, and maintenance of DG (diesel generator) sets, recording key parameters.

Coordinate with engineering stores for materials/tools and raise purchase requests through HOD as required.

Ensure strict compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Perform any additional electrical and instrumentation tasks as assigned to support plant operations.
Qualifications
-
8 - 10 Years of hands-on experience in Electricals & instrumentation maintenance in an industrial / utility / plant environment preferred.

ITI - Electrician with Wireman License.
