Main Duties of a Drilling Operator
- Set up and operate drilling machines according to job requirements.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or drilling plans.
- Monitor drilling operations to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Adjust drilling speed, pressure, and equipment settings as needed.
- Inspect and maintain drilling equipment.
- Replace worn drill bits and other components.
- Record drilling data and prepare reports.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and environmental regulations.
